Duff reprises her role as Dr Susannah Newman, a shrink whom Suspect fans will recognise from series one as the mother of Christina (who died in mysterious circumstances) and the ex-wife of James Nesbitt‘s series leading Danny Frater.

This time, her character is the show’s lead as she aims to solve the mystery of her daughter’s death while preventing more murders.

The English actress broke through, and earned Bafta nominations, as Fiona Gallagher in Channel 4’s Shameless and Queen Elizabeth I in The Virgin Queen and has gone on to star in the likes of Bad Sisters, The Salisbury Poisonings, Sex Education and Nowhere Boy.
