Fantasy Premier League managers will have their eyes fixed on the title-challenging teams in Gameweek 33 with each of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City playing at home.
FPL bosses will be particularly interested to see how Arsenal and Liverpool perform considering both clubs play twice in Gameweek 34, along with Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Everton, Sheffield United and Wolves. Tripling up on Arsenal and Liverpool assets will be a popular move ahead of next week.
Ignore City at your peril, though. Pep Guardiola is sure to spin his rotation roulette wheel for the visit of Luton, but that should present an opportunity in FPL with some low-owned differentials likely to get plenty of minutes. In-form attackers from Brentford and Nottingham Forest round off i‘s picks.
The Gameweek 33 deadline is at 11am on Saturday 13 April.
i‘s top scorers in Gameweek 32
- Erling Haaland – 8 points vs Crystal Palace: After going two games without a goal (a drought by his standards), Haaland was back on the scoresheet during an entertaining contest at Selhurst Park. He faces Luton at the Etihad next.
- Mo Salah – 8 points vs Man Utd: Missed a couple of chances you’d expect him to convert blindfolded before eventually getting his customary goal against United from the penalty spot. That late equaliser also bumped Salah into the bonus point positions.
- Cole Palmer – 5 points vs Sheffield Utd: On the end of a shocking foul by Jack Robinson but brushed himself down to provide an assist for Noni Madueke in what looked set to be a winning goal for Chelsea. Not his best game but Palmer has now registered at least one attacking return in five straight matches.

Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford)
Brentford are about to enter a pivotal part of their season with three massive games coming up over the next few weeks.
The Bees host Sheffield United in west London this weekend, before taking on Luton at Kenilworth Road in Gameweek 34 and heading to Goodison Park to meet Everton in 35. A couple of wins would probably be enough to secure survival, while a couple of defeats would put them in big trouble.
Unlike some of their relegation rivals, Brentford have plenty of firepower to pull away from the drop zone, particularly now that Bryan Mbeumo has regained his fitness. The Cameroonian made his first start since December in last weekend’s draw at Villa Park and capped his return to Thomas Frank’s starting line-up with an excellently taken finish.
Owned by just over six per cent of FPL managers, Mbeumo could be a great differential to have for Brentford’s upcoming run.

Chris Wood (Nottingham Forest)
Nottingham Forest are in an even more perilous position than Brentford with a four-point deduction for breaching Profitability and Sustainability Rules leaving them level on points with 18th-placed Luton.
Worrying as their current league position is, Forest do at least have one of the division’s in-form strikers leading their attack. Chris Wood endured a slow start to his career at the City Ground but has been a player reborn under Nuno Espirito Santo.
The New Zealand international has scored nine goals and registered an assist in 10 games since Nuno was appointed, and has netted in four consecutive matches after scoring against Spurs last time out. The less said about his open goal miss when the scoreline was 1-1 the better, though.
At just £4.9m he offers superb value, and buying him makes it easier to cram those premium options from Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City into your squad.

Rico Lewis (Man City)
Rico Lewis has started back-to-back games in the Premier League and may well make it a hat-trick on Saturday after sitting out Tuesday’s extraordinary 3-3 draw at the Bernabeu.
Lewis caught the eye in City’s 4-2 win at Selhurst Park last weekend, playing in “the John Stones” role in midfield and even popped up with a goal to put his side in front after half-time.
City have been unusually leaky at the back lately but can bank an overdue clean sheet against the injury-hit Hatters.

Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool)
Plenty of FPL managers will have Mo Salah and one of Luis Diaz or Darwin Nunez in place for Liverpool’s imminent double gameweek, but there is a decision to be made over the third Liverpool slot: invest in a defender or triple up on the attack?
If you’re leaning towards the latter option, Alexis Mac Allister looks like a great pick. The Argentine is a nailed starter, is in great form, won’t cost much and is extremely low-owned with just over five per cent of bosses selecting him in their squads.
Prior to Sunday’s draw at Old Trafford, Mac Allister had been on a hot streak of form, providing FPL returns in each of his previous six outings with three goals and four assists in total.
The 25-year-old is perhaps not as attractive an FPL option as he was during his Brighton days given Salah is Liverpool’s designated penalty taker, but should the Egyptian be off the field for any reason, Mac Allister is second in line to take them.

Gabriel Magalhães (Arsenal)
Arsenal looked unusually frazzled at the back during their midweek Champions League tie against Bayern Munich but they have been resolutely rock solid in the Premier League.
Since the turn of the year, Arsenal have kept seven clean sheets in 11 league matches and conceded just four times in total. Their expected goals against (xGa) tally in that time is just 5.73; for comparison, Liverpool are next best in that regard on 12.78.
Gabriel has been integral to that performance, playing all but 10 minutes of Arsenal’s league games in 2024. At the other end, meanwhile, he has emerged as their biggest threat from set-plays.
Remarkably, only Salah and Diaz had more attempts on goal than the Brazilian in Gameweek 32 (with six each to five) and he should have registered his fourth goal of the campaign inside the opening minute at the Amex. He offers serious points potential in both boxes.
